Many of you have been asking, What is Collaborative Storytelling?

So here’s my answer: It’s me helping people like you share your greatest ideas.

As an author, influencer or creative, you’re at the place where you are putting the finishing touches on your book, curriculum, product or your organizational messaging. But you’re running out of energy, or time, or perspective.

That’s where I can help you.

Collaborative Storyyelling may be a great next step for you if you’re running out of energy or asking yourself one of these 3 questions about your material:

1. DOES THIS MAKE SENSE?

You wrote a book or have a story you want to tell, but you’re not sure if it all makes sense.

My  process includes co-writing and developmental editing (sometimes called substantive editing). This is where I help you develop your writing style, find your conversational writing voice, establish a good story structure, and make your material flow well.

2. WHAT IF IT’S NOT ENOUGH?

You wrote a book, created a course, or gave a talk, and now people are asking you for discussion questions.

My process includes assisting you with curriculum writing and filming scripts. This is where I help you by asking thoughtful and curious questions about your topic, and help you create an intentional and engaging learning pathway for your audience.

3. WHAT’S THE MAIN POINT I’M TRYING TO MAKE?

You have an organizational story to tell, a great email campaign to send out, or an e-learning series lined up, but you need help because you have so much (maybe too much) information to share.

My process includes synthesizing and simplifying (two of my favorite S-words!) your message so you communicate with clarity to your audience. It’s really important to clarify your message and expectations to your audience because they’re asking themselves, “What are you trying to say, and what am I supposed to do with this message?” I can help you get to the place where your audience gets the main point of your message and understands the next step they need to take.

So if this resonates with you and you need help or an outside perspective with something you’re working on, give me a shout at beth@bethgraybill.com
